Illinois county regional hubs
County hubs use NCES EDGE 2024–25 largest-land county assignments for 849 territorial Illinois public school districts across all 102 counties. Excluded are 9 independent charter school LEAs (lea_type 7), 1 state-operated agency (IDJJ School District 428), and 5 non-territorial Type 80 cooperative, laboratory, and residential districts (such as IMSA and ROE alternative schools), plus 72 specialized districts, 52 service agencies, 38 other agencies, 2 unreviewed state-operated agencies, 1 unreviewed charter, and 3 non-operating/closed rows that have no district page. Total expenditures come from ISBE’s FY2024 Annual Financial Report (AFR); enrollment and SBER per-pupil spending come from ISBE’s 2025 Illinois Report Card (2024–25). The SBER per-pupil figure is ISBE’s own published value, not a DistrictFacts division.
