Rhode Island Data Desk

Find the records behind a local education story. Start with a jurisdiction, inspect the reporting period and definitions, and download evidence you can check and cite. Coverage is source-specific. Missing or suppressed values are not zero, and similarly named measures are not necessarily comparable across states.

Limitation
RIDE's FY2027 enacted education aid table has no row for R.I. Sch for the Deaf (a state-operated school funded directly in the state budget), and as a state school it receives no town appropriation.
Limitation
Rhode Island publishes no official average or per-position salary: RIDE's Report Card data files carry educator counts and qualifications but no pay, the UCOA workbooks and the Municipal Transparency Portal carry salary totals only (the MTP's audited school-department compensation total is shown under finance for the districts that file one), and RIDE's LEA financial profiles are interactive dashboards with no downloadable file. DistrictFacts does not derive an average by dividing spending by headcount.
Limitation
The federal Civil Rights Data Collection 2023-24 has no school under this LEA's NCES LEAID (4401202).
Limitation
The Municipal Transparency Portal covers Rhode Island's municipalities and their school districts. A state school files no MTP-1, so no audited fund balance is published for it here.
